Step 1: Create the base diagram

Go to auto shapes menu and pick the ‘rectangle’ tool to create three rectangles of different heights as shown below:

Step 2: Add bevel and depth

The next step is to add 3D bevel and depth to the grouped rectangles. Right click on the group and go to ‘Format shape’ option.  Under 3D format tab choose ‘Bevel presets’. For ‘Top’ surface use the preset called ‘Circle’.  Add a depth of 150 pt. to the group. You will get the following result:

Step 3: Apply 3D rotation

The next step is to apply 3D rotation to the group. Go to ‘3D rotation’ tab and choose the preset called ‘Off Axis 1 Top’ under ‘Parallel’ options.

3D Platform for Podium The last step is to add some numbers to add visual interest to the diagram. So write numbers 1,2 and 3. Go to ‘Format’ -> Text effects -> 3D rotation -> 3D rotation options to add 3D perspective to the numbers.
