You can use this effect to make your text boxes come to life. Let us see how to create this effect easily using PowerPoint 2010 version.

Draw a rectangle using ‘rectangle’ tool in auto shapes

Use ‘Isosceles triangle’ tool under Basic shapes in Auto shapes menu to draw a triangle. Move the yellow handle at the top to extreme right. Rotate the triangle to form the corner of paper.

Creating Corner Shape

Make a copy the triangle and place it on the top left corner of the rectangle. Select the rectangle first and select the triangle next while holding the ‘Shift’ tab. Press ‘Shape subtract’ option in your quick access toolbar (If you don’t have ‘shape subtract’ option in your quick access toolbar, please follow this tutorial to reorganize your quick access toolbar). The result will be as follows:

Rotate the original copy of the triangle in such a way that the base of the triangle aligns with the top left corner of the rectangle as shown below:

Remove the outline for the shapes. Fill the triangle with a darker variation of the color you used for the rectangle.

Click on the triangle and apply ‘Offset Diagonal Bottom Right’ preset shadow. Increase the size of the shadow by 4% to get the following result:

You can place a copy of the original rectangle of a different color to make the folded corner obvious as follows:
