Are you making your audience to do YOUR work?
We have seen this habit some trainers and senior level presenters (who can get away with it) have developed.
When their presentation contains a whole lot of boring bullet points, they get the audience to read the slides out loud! One bullet per person…
Since they feel that the material is self-explanatory, the audience should ‘get it’.
There are many ways to ask questions and draw the answers from your audience – if the material is simple. Brush up on your ‘questioning’ skills and quizzing skills to avoid this situation.
A simple quiz on PowerPoint works like magic to engage audiences.
